Well. There it is, then. Everything is fixed.

So, what’s been happening in the meantime?

I’ve been making it a point to spend more time with my family. I get bogged down with administrative work and then start isolating, which is never healthy. Family help to keep me grounded. God love them.

Family really is at the core of our being, and the old saying “You can choose your friends but not your family” is very true for a reason. Back in my youth I really sought to distance myself from my family for a time – I was much cooler than all that. In reality, I was an idiot. The Family is our God-given basic social unit – for lack of a better word – than any other unit.

The Rectory renovations, undertaken after the great rat infestation of winter 2018, have been more or less completed. A problem is that there’s no storage in the building in terms of closets, only cupboards, cabinets, armoires, and dressers. So deciding where everything should go – which has always come easily to me until now – is just one of those headaches that come up in life and that we must endure patiently even as we want to fly away to a cabin in the mountains and spend some time reading, hiking, and meditating upon the Lord and His mighty wonders.

So that’s what I’ve been up to. How about you? I love hearing from everyone and will be posting more often because I can actually get into my site again. That’s a step in the right direction. How about that? ::rolling eyes::

I’ve also decided to add a resource section to the site, to be more helpful to people in general. I do a lot of study on various topics, and may as well share that with the world. Addictions, languages, General Norms of the Roman Missal, the Latin Mass, music theory and composition. I know, stop me – I’m too interesting!

Glad to be back. Peace.
